Ffos Las Bookmakers - 2010

Paddock Side Pitches
For the time being, the eight Paddock Side Pitches will remain in use. However it must be realised, and seen by all, that much static congestion occurs on the busy days in front of these pitches. The local Health & Safety Executive have expressed concern regarding congestion, which restricts pedestrian flow.

Eight additional pitches, with anchorage points, will soon become available between the Paddock Side pitches and the Running Rail (after the Winning Post), which will be available for all meetings, and would be used, should it be deemed necessary to render the Paddock Side pitches 'out of bounds' on the future days with high attendance. Racecourse officials will monitor congestion with regards to this issue in determining such days.

Pitching Up times - 2010
Pitching up times for 2010 will remain at one hour before the first race, except on the following dates, which will be 1 1/2 hours:

Advanced Booking
Those bookmakers who are not on the list, who wish to bet on specific days are required to deposit the appropriate feet, when booking their intention. Once their payment has been cleared, they will be allocated their appropriate list number for the chosen day. Once deposited, there will be no refunds of the fee, whether the bookmaker attends the meeting or not.

2011
It is intended that 'sealed bids' be processed next August to determine the Pick List Numbers for 2011. The fixture list for 2011 will be published in July. At the time of writing it has not been decided how long this 'Pick List' will be valid for. Once decided, this will be made known to all interested parties.
